Monday Inspiration: {It’s Still Monday!}

Still workin it out at my new gig, early mornings (gotta get up early to get parking @ bart!), so no time to post my weekly “Monday Inspiration” today.

But it’s technically still Monday, so I decided to post this image and video I took of my baby Mochi yesterday.

Not really inspirational, but it’s cute. ;)

I love that freckle on her nose.

Knocked out!

Hope you enjoyed my little Penelope.

She sometimes reminds me of Pepe Le Pew’s girlfriend, Penelope Le Cat.

Totally, hot.

Take it all in my friends. ;)

I really need to get my Levi bells to the seamstress stat!

An American Classic

In honor of my new gig! ;)

I know, totally image heavy! But a lot of folks love their Levi’s!

Got a contract gig with this historical giant working on their Spring line of denim.

Learning a lot, and soaking in the total experience.

Happy Friday my friends!

An Anthropologie Wedding

That’s right folks, if you haven’t received your email newsletter yet, Anthropologie (a.k.a Wonderland) has launched it’s wedding line,

called BHLDN {beholden}.

There’s always been talk about Anthro doing a wedding line, but nothing was really confirmed until the Spring of last year.

Right now there is only a sneak peak of a video to tease your senses, but the line will include vintage inspired wedding gowns, head pieces, jewelry, shoes, and bridesmaid dresses to complete your perfect Anthropologie Wedding.

The complete line will debut on February 14th 2011,

Valentines Day.

How perfect.

If only I had waited just a few more months!

My Color Take

As I mentioned yesterday, I wanted to share my  colorful outfit of choice for our “dress-up weekend” we had last week in Wonderland.

It was inspired by the style in our recent catalog.

This was my take on it…

{FYI: If you click on the images you can see a bigger version of them}

{Totally embracing bright colorful makeup too! I may have overdone it on the blush, but oh well. :P }

So what did ya think?

It was so much fun to put this outfit together. I had already mentally put the blouse and skirt together  days before our dress-up weekend, but wasn’t sure about the rest.

But my Adia Kibur necklace was a definite yes as my main accessory! And I finally got a nice clear shot of it so you could see it!

Don’t be afraid to put color on top of color. It makes a huge impact, and when balanced with neutral colors it all comes together . ;)

Keep the color comin!

My Outfit:

1. Dolan yellow silk blouse

2. Daughters of the Liberation brown leather circle skirt (one thing I can cross off my wishlist!)

3. Vintage Frye boots from Ebay (need to get the soles replaced on these bad boys pronto!)

4. Over-the-knee socks from Asos

5. Random turquoise bead necklace worn as a bracelet

6. Knuckle cage ring from Five Stones Vintage (doesn’t it look just like a Pamela Love?!)

7. Silver knuckle ring from F.P.

8. Adia Kibur necklace from Shopbop

9. Earrings & multi-colored bead bracelet from Anthro

10. Pink Lips: MAC’s “Lustering” lipstick & “Pink Poodle” lipglass

More color to make your heart go pitter patter…

Devon Aoki for US Elle Feb ’11 issue

Absolutely Stunning.

I think I’m pretty pumped for Spring.

Aren’t you? ;)

Coral Lips

I found my perfect combo for the perfect shade of CORAL for my lips!

It’s a mix of Nars’ Love Devotion” lipstick and MAC’s Lychee Lux” lipglass.

I use the Nars lipstick as the base (which actually goes on slightly sheer), and the Mac lipglass as the final sweep of shimmer on top!

Mochi had fun using them too! ;)

You can purchase your own Nars’ lipstick here, and your MAC lipglass here!

PENCEY STANDARD

One of my favorite designers has come out with a new line this Spring ’11. Pencey known for it’s easy, but cool & edgy style has launched,

PENCEY STANDARD.

It aims to be the new line of standard basics.

And I have to say, they’re off to a good start! ;)

To see Shopbop’s Pencey Standard lookbook with Jessica Hart (A perfect choice by the way. Good job SB!), click here, or to snag somethin for yourself, click here.

What a great way to start your Tuesday off right! ;)

Bright Colors & Ethnic Prints!

Last week the weather was beautiful in the Bay, which inspired me to embrace COLOR.

I normally LOVE bold color. Red, orange, and yellow being my favorites, but I have to say during the colder season, it had me trending more toward subdued hues.

Which were dutifully noted here, here, and here.

Taking  a que from one of my Monday Inspirations, I thought I’d continue the bold trend.

Which are represented beautifully in Anthropologie’s February 2011 catalog

{if I do say so myself ;) }

We had a dress-up day this past weekend, which was inspired by this look.

I’ll have to share one of my favorite outfits I wore with you.

Maybe tomorrow? :)
